Oh, and I should mention, we have 13 not 9 kiddo's now :)

Yes, when this blog started, Mike and I were the blessed parents of 9 children, but times have changed! We are now thrilled to be welcoming our 13th child into our family, Jade is our "lucky 13th"!

A quick run down on the gang :)
Lauren (27)and Sean (25) just moved back to Washington to run their horse business Crooks Show Jumping. Lauren will be based our of the Seattle area, and Sean will be the globe trotter :) Both are doing great, have much success in the show jumping world, and already have a successful business doing what they (and pretty much the whole family!) love to do! As the oldest in the family, both Lauren and Sean spend as much time as they can with their little siblings, and are great and very adored role models!

Catherine (20) is living in Moscow, ID and managing the lease office of a successful apartment company that specializes in college towns. She just received a big promotion and will be transferred shortly to begin her new lease managing position, hopefully not too far from home...We are proud of her independent nature and her ability to take charge of her life! We just wish we saw a little more of her these days...!

Ciara (16) remains our free spirited hippie chick, and just got her first wheels! A Subaru of course :) Ciara enjoys riding her western paint mare Classy, and watching/studying/learning about Anime. She is very kind hearted and creative and always sticks up for any sibling that needs sticking up for! She and Hunter (15) are doing high school online through BYU and maintain high GPA's, good job guys! They also attend Twin Eagles Wilderness School weekly and thrive in that environment! Hunter has joined the family passion of competitive show jumping, is talented, and has had a very successful year, learning many of the ups and downs of the sport in a short while... He works very hard, and is probably the most helpful kid in the family, for which his parents are very grateful!

Ruby (almost 13) is also an avid equestrian, and lover of all animals. We call her the animal whisperer as she has such an incredible gift and way with them... All she will read are horse books, and she spends any extra time in the barn doing everything from feeding, to sweeping, to grooming... anything to avoid doing homework :)She is helpful and kind and pretty darn funny!

Kai (11) is our resident artist, boy can this boy draw and paint! He really has such a gift, and so enjoys, and is proud of, his art. He struggles with pretty severe ADHD but has made HUGE leaps and bounds in the last few years. We are so impressed with the fact that he never gives up, and keeps trying! He is also one of the two family clowns with his dry and very witty sense of humor.

Millie (11) and Sophie (10) are the family "twins" (I get some funny looks when I call them that since they were born in Ethiopia and China respectively :)  They spend most waking hours side by side. They are very different personality wise, but seem to compliment each other extremely well. Millie is a go getter with a strong spirit that never quits (or is quiet lol...). She has gone from never going to school all the way to 4th grade, in just 2.5 years. Serious work ethic! She is athletic, a great runner in particular, and is following in Ciara's footsteps in a western saddle on her pony Sky. Sophie is the sweetest little girl in the world... She is kind and loving, very helpful and honest, and a straight A student. She is a very serious little rider and dreams of entering the show jumping world as fast as possible!

Holly (9)is a very loving and funny little girl, who loves to dress up and play with barbies. Holly faces some struggles due to her 22qdeletion syndrome and learning disabilities, but we are all learning to cope with these difficulties together. She is a quick wit and a loving heart that we all enjoy very much!

Jonah (6)is the class clown for sure! He has the best smile on the planet, a serious twinkle in his eye, and is full of mischief! He is a serious athlete, mastering anything he puts his mind too in record time. He is also extremely loving and very much a mama's boy... Yes, I love that!!!

Princess Mahlia (almost 5) is the princess of the family for sure! She is funny and sweet and stubborn as they come ;) She loves to dress as a princess and loves all things princessy. She is the definition of a Daddy's girl, she has Mike securely wrapped around her finger and I don't think that will ever change! She is such a blessing and completely adored by all of us!

So thats the run down on the dozen Crooks kids, and we are excited to welcome Miss Jade to the gang very soon!
